Mission to Lumbila (15 till December 19th, 2005) I found the centre in full preparation of the Christmas holidays. Indeed, the last months was a bad time to spend in cause of the change of climate (harmattan wind and coolest nights). The sisters had to face epidemics of flu and malaria. So, all the medicines brought by the previous group were used ! I saw again Jacques and we tried to find a solution for him (Jacques is 21 years old , he stopped the school very early and now the association want him to make a formation to get a job). We think the best opportunity for him would de to get hois driving licence. We'll help him in this way. The decision will be taken by the end of January. The extension of the pizzeria financed by Italian is finished. During this trip, I could study the propositions of the different entreprises interesting for building our school dining hall. Contracts will be signed during our next mission by the end of January. The works will begin at the beginning of February. The foundations of the court ( to protect the school boy against the sun(see photo) are almost ended. Inauguration will be planned on 28th of January, at the same time we'll celebrate with the whole children the first stone of the dining room. THUS BIG CELEBRATION I PLANNED on January 28th to the orphanage. . Olivier
