Events

The listing of this mission was important: routing of 700 kg of freight, inauguration of the school court , the first stone of the dining hall, contacts with enterprises for the construction of the dining hall, the organization of the snack of the children, the sponsorship of the kids, the photography of the school boys, movie to realize a documentary about the association.

Routing of freight

15 members of the association Graines de Joie Développement (AZEM Chabha, BARON Béatrice, BEGUIAN Bérengère, DAUPHIN    FRANCESCHI Nadine, Nadine, ISU Cathy,  LAMPIS Marie, ROCHE Chantal, VALLET Béatrice, WARTHER Claudie,   LIOGIER Raphaël, OLIVE Jean-Yves, PATTUS Olivier, ZAVARONI Sébastien, POLLET Jean François)  travelled  for this important mission. It allowed to load  705 kg of freight (76 kg of medicines, 331 kg of clothes,  a wheelchair, 132 kg of toys, 106 kg of school things ( 60 schoolbags  was offered by Brigitte and Philippe), and more...

 Jean-Yves, on charge of the logistic problem,  assured the packaging of every parcel and their transport to the airport of Marseille. 

Inauguration of the last three classrooms , the school  court and  the laying of the first stone of the dining hall

The school  is now   equipped by a pleasant area of games  financed  with  the sale of bags, lighters and cards.

The inauguration took place on Friday, January 27th. The preparations began  after noon (decoration, installation of chairs)

The villagers of Lumbila were invited to participate for the festivity.

 The ceremony began at 6:30 pm with a small speech of sister Marie-Claire, following by the President speech of the association. Next the assembly listened   African histories (a nice narrator spectacle) accompanied with players of djembé.

All the children participated actively in the spectacle .

The ceremony continued by the laying of first stone of the Dining hall.

The sisters had organized a meal for all the children (orphenage and village) and for the members of the association as well.

During the meal the children of the Orphanage offered us a spectacle of dance accompanied by two payers of djembé. Our friend Raphaël made us a nice demonstration of local dance.

Contract for the construction of the refectory

Olivier, Marie, the sisters and the entreprise  negotiated during 2 hours the market concerning   the dining hall (second reading, corrections, signature).

Organization of the snack of the children

The traditional snack was organized on Saturday after noon by the members of the association .

Kids'sponsoring:

75 children of the village of Lumbila coming to the orphanage school  are sponsored.

18 children of the centre schooled in the maternal section are also sponsored. We took the pictures of the children concerned the sponsoring program to send it to the french family.

Our school is not important enough (only 6 class rooms) for all the kids and for the time now some have to go outside, in an another school and we have to pay for them too. The sponsoring program also allows the scholarity of theese girls and boys waiting for the future expansion of our school. We have to find the FUNDS first, unfortunately.

We realized the traditional pictures of class for Small, average and big Section.

These pictures will allow to create a listing for  the schoolteachers ..

Movie for the realization of a documentary about the association

Other news

All the children were in a good health.

There is a second  garden . We could find  onions, cabbages, peppers ,beans...

The Italians plan to increase the pizzeria in order to allow to welcome more customers.

3 rooms have been built by the Italian Shalom association to allow to accommodate their members in mission.
